Day 363: Anticipation Can Be Both Good And Bad

Another key lesson from this year is how to handle anticipation. Some things are nice to anticipate. If you expect something to happen and you are ready for it to happen and it happens you can usually have a better performance. This includes things like tests or interviews. However, it can also lead to downtime you’re not taking advantage of… such as waiting for a phone call and instead of doing something to “make the time go by” you just wait and wait. Or like today waiting for snow to come, but knowing that it’s hours away, can lead to hours of idly wasting time. So remember, while it’s great to anticipate don’t forget to be present.
