So last night, I hit my pinky toe on the side of a bed frame. It hurt. Today I woke up and it was a lovely shade of purple. It doesn’t really hurt that much, but it’s quite swollen and looks ugly. Yet I haven’t questioned why such a little toe exists, but rather how strange is it that unlike most things in nature, the human body expands instead of denting? For instance if I was to have kicked the bed frame a little harder and chipped some of the wood off, it would have gotten smaller. Yet because of the blood system, all the blood starts to pool up in my toe and it gets bigger. Strange. Very strange.
