One of the things that I always find interesting from an outside perspective, as well as from someone who has experiencing playing in competitive sport is the idea of celebrations. When one team celebrates they are seen as bad sports, and when they don’t celebrate they aren’t enjoying the game or take the game too seriously. In other words you can’t win. So while it’s true that sometimes celebrations can be bad things, sport is emotional, so why would you not express your emotion in a positive way. Celebrating with your team is a great thing. Soo how can we set limits to allow people to celebrate (especially when they don’t always have a lot to celebrate if their season isn’t going great)? I don’t have a good answer, but I do know that no matter what everybody won’t be happy, so maybe it’s about figuring out what works for the most.
