Today, I dropped a pen and picked it up with my foot because I was too lazy to reach down with my arm. Now it took longer and was probably more work, but that’s not what is important. What is important is the fact that our feet our not our hands. In some ways this is a very good thing. The support structure and what not, blah blah blah. But it does make one wonder, if our toes were like our fingers and we were able to grab things with the same dexterity, how much would our lives be different? Would they be different? Would it be possible to have somewhat pro-tractable fingers? Because nobody wants to buy shoes for really long toes, but you need a certain amount of toe length to really be able to grab stuff right? I know I’m a little out there today, but really think about it? If you could think through it you could do 2 things at once (multiple ifs really). What else could you do if toes were like fingers?
