“Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.” – Mark Twain
Sometimes we are humbled but how insignificant we actually are. Sometimes we need to be humbled. Sometimes we don’t understand things that should humble us. When we think about the world sometimes we make our world something that is bigger than it actually is. If your world is ending because it is raining outside, than maybe you should consider the people living in deserts that die without water. So as we consider our life, it is important to understand that while it is necessary for us to have certain things to survive, we are by no means assured of such things. It sucks in terms of global and humanistic causes, but at the same time we can only control so much. Therefore, we should embrace the sadness we feel when we are small. We should look at the struggles we have and use it as encouragement to make the world better. If you were to make your total life 1% better, after a year you would be 3700 times better than what you were today.
