The interesting thing about Christianity is the importance of Easter. While most people look at the death on the cross as an important feature, in reality there were many people throughout history who have died on a cross. What separates Jesus from others is that on Easter he is no longer in the tomb. Equally this is the moment that signifies that death no longer holds people to earth. So on this day, the fact that Jesus is not in an Earthly tomb, is what makes Christianity… Christianity.
The same thing should be important for my own faith, in that the meaning of today means that I don’t have to be of the Earth. The “fear” we experience with faith is reinforced by the fact that we’re not here for no point. When death does come, I’m Not Here.
